Recruitment

EPISTATA is recruiting new members to join our independent Scientific Advisory Committee. We are looking for committed, capable and motivated science experts to promote academic rigour and research integrity and to provide independent advice, helping to ensure our partners carry out scientifically-sound research in medicine and surgery.

Candidates must have significant experience in epidemiology and medical statistics for clinical or public health research, which will enrich the committee that they sit on, and demonstrate how they share EPISTATA’s principles, vision, and mission.

As a Scientific Advisory Committee member, you will provide independent expert assessment and advice on research studies related to clinical and public health medicine – with specific regards to the study design and the statistical analysis – in order to criticise and give advice to enhance their methodological robustness, so as to ensure that our support to partners is based on the best and most recent scientific methodology and that they develop their research potential with scientific rigour.

Committee members are not employed by EPISTATA and appointments are not salaried, but members will receive remuneration fees for preparation and attendance of meetings and for their advisory activity when our partners are charged a fee. Remuneration fees are negotiated each time for each new project according to the guidelines described on our price page. EPISTATA will not charge any overheads on the fees.

To apply, please send a cover letter and a copy of your CV to info@epistata.org. Only short-listed candidates will be emailed back.

Selected Scientific Advisory Committee members will receive an invitation to join an online meeting each time a new research partnership application is received, to discuss the scientific, organisational, and procedural aspects of each new project.
